I’m a single male. I have an apartment in Lakewood – One bedroom and the living room are unused. It’s in a 4-unit brownstone on Madison Ave by Hilliard.
The apt has kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms, bath, living room.

I’m looking for a person to share the cost of rent + utilities (gas & electric). I don’t have my first bills yet for gas & electric, though I assume they would be less than $100 apiece during the summer months – maybe much less – possibly more in the winter months. I’ve done this research:

Actual Dec ’11 GAS bill: $86.91
Actual Jan ’12 GAS bill: $111
Actual Feb ’12 GAS bill $99.15

We would split the actual amounts, and split the electric bills.

Not bad, so your total MOVE-IN cost would be $290 rent plus a guesstimate of $100 toward utilities: If the utilities are less that the $100, you pay less, that is, have it applied to the next months rent. We would even it up monthly.

It’s available immediately.

I’m a musician and I build vacuum tube guitar amps, also repair guitar amps & gear. There will be some sound from time to time, but nothing that should wake you up at 2AM.

This is not a modern luxury apt, but it’s decent and in a good neighborhood. The landlord is good and attentive.

The pics are myself (your room-mate , the work I do (amps), the bathroom (yeah, an old-time cast-iron tub which is kinda neat), and the dining room (which is where I’ll be doing my bookwork and downtime). The empty bedroom and living room are yours to do what you like with.

There is a good wi-fi signal which I pay my neighbor a minimal amount to use.

The unit is carpeted except for the kitchen. The carpet has discolorations which may not come out when it’s shampooed, but if you have a vacuum that would be an improvement

I’ve shared an upstairs unit in the building for a year and recently moved to the ground floor. There’s no AC, but it’s airy and cool in summer, and warm in the winter (based on my visiting the apt in winter). Bus line is right out the door and there is parking in back. Four steps up and you’re home ~
