Hi, I’m looking for a new roommate for my 2 br / 1 ba apartment in Buckhead. I really like this complex, but my current roommate is moving to California. About me: I’m a 25 y/o white male, working professional. I work the standard 8-5 job in the Dunwoody area. On my free time, I enjoy working out, playing guitar, relaxing with friends, cooking, and relaxing. I usually go out a couple of times a month and the location of my apartment makes it very easy (you can walk to lots of places). I am drug free, don’t smoke, have no pets, and keep pretty standard sleeping hours. I clean weekly / bi-weekly and expect some help in the kitchen / bathroom to keep it clean. About you: male or female, working or grad student. Be willing to sign a 12 or 13 month lease- not a month to month or short term living situation. It’d be great to hang out some outside of the apartment / be social in the place, but not required. You must be mature, able to communicate, and relatively clean. You must be drug free and the apartment complex will be conducting both a background and credit check. Smoking outside is OK (there are 2 patios) but non-smoking is much preferred. No pets is also preferred. About the apartment: it is located at Westminster at Buckhead and the renewal lease is for $1153. You will be responsible for your portion of the rent, which is partially negotiable because the two bedrooms are unequal sizes. Utilities should stay at or below $100 / person assuming average use. The apartment features granite countertops, an open floor plan, sizable living / dining room, large patio, w/d in unit, a large bathroom, and big closets in both bedrooms. I have not had any major repair requests over the past 12 months of living here, and the 2 or 3 small ones that we had were fixed within 12 hours. The apartment lease also features a repair guarantee on certain repairs (e.g. A/C/ in the summer) that if it’s not fixed within some time (I think it’s 2 days), then you are not charged rent for the time that it’s broken. There are few complexes that offer this in their leases but it’s nice to have for assurance. The complex is very popular among young professionals, and the grills / pool are a great social scene in the summer (but there are still almost always open chairs).
