2 rooms 1 bath available in our rented apartment in Eagle River. We’re a married couple looking to add a female roommate(s) between 18 and 30. 600 a month for rent, which includes water, electric, heating, and internet.
Our lease ends in July this year, so that’s about a 6 month term if you moved in by the end of the month. There is also a car space available. Washer and dryer would be shared with us, as well as the kitchen and living room.
My husband works on the slope, so he’s only here half the time. It gets lonely, so I want a roommate that doesn’t mind hanging out and gets along with me.
No smoking, no dogs, and no drugs please. 1 cat is ok.
we have 2 cats of our own, so if you’re allergic move on to another ad
About us:
We’re both 22, born and raised in Michigan. We moved to Alaska for his job on the slope. We don’t know yet how long we will stay in the state. We’re clean, no crazy drama, and we don’t smoke or do drugs. we drink occasionally but almost never when we’re home. We don’t like to host big parties. We’d rather go over to a friend’s and play video games or have a movie night. My husband is a big gamer and I like to relax with a good book or movie rather than go out and party all the time. When he’s gone, I don’t lock myself in my bedroom and become a hermit :) I like to be social, and it’s driving me crazy being alone when he’s gone. We don’t have a lot of people coming over either.
If you think you would be a good match, text me at 616-901-7148 or email. We can arrange something for you to come see the apartment if you’re interested.
Jessie

Room in Park Slope Brownstone (North Park Slope) $970

January 7, 2013 in New York City

We live in a beautiful Park Slope brownstone apartment between 5th and 6th Ave. on Prospect Place near practically every train: Q (7th Ave), R/N/D/B/4/5 (Atlantic/Pacific), 2/3 (Bergen) and, for good measure, the LIRR at Atlantic Terminal. The C and G trains are just a little bit further (8 min walk). We are just far enough away from Barclays Center that we don’t get noise or crowds. We love our neighborhood- we are in the midst of the 5th and 7th Ave bars, stores, and restaurants, with a great restaurant right on our corner and the Park Slope Food Coop just a short walk away.

We share the top two floors of our brick townhouse/brownstone, which was built in the mid 1800s, with five bedrooms total (No railroads! Separate rooms with a common main entrance) and a deck big enough to host a barbecue on. Upstairs there are four bedrooms and access to the roof; the room for rent is on the lower floor, along with the kitchen and living room. There is one large beautiful bathroom downstairs and a shower and toilet upstairs. We also have a washer and dryer in the building and we have a nice and relaxed relationship with our landlord. $970 includes all utilities except Internet, which comes to less than $10/month. Room is available Feb 1, with the possibility of moving things (or even yourself) in a few days early.

The current roommates are a girl who works in publishing, a guy who manages a coffee shop, a guy who works in architecture, and a girl who studies public health. We are all in our mid to late
twenties, and are pretty busy and not home all the time but we are excited to have a comfortable and clean place to come home to. Basically, we are looking for someone who is responsible enough to do their chore (we share responsibility on a rotating basis) and keep shared spaces like the bathroom and kitchen clean. We also prefer someone who works a 9-5 job. Sorry, no pets.

We are having an Open House this Sunday, January 13 from 2-4 pm where we can show you the room for rent and you can meet all of us. We’ve all come to the house through goroomie, so we think it works really well, except that there can be a lot of people at an open houses. Please email us a little bit about yourself and we will send you our address. (Having an idea about who you are really helps keep people and faces straight).

Awesome gluten free house! (SW Portland/West Slope) $650

January 2, 2013 in Portland

Are you gluten free and looking for a place to live? I’m looking for a roommate who’s sensitive to my wicked food allergies. If you’re also gluten free, that would be awesome!

I live in the West Slope, just off of 26. I’m close to PDX, Hillsdale, Multnomah Village, and Beaverton. How is that possible? The West Slope is the best location.

I’m renting the second bedroom. Spoiler alert: It’s not huge. The house is old so the rooms aren’t big. But there’s a dining room area off of the kitchen that could be yours as well. I don’t really know what to do with it now. There’s also a nice size living room and a great unfinished basement for plenty of storage.

Rent is $475 and bills run between $125-150 per month which includes cable/internet, electric, water, sewer, etc. and other fun things, like oil in the winter.

Other things you might want to know…cute yard that needs mowing and raking during summer/fall, parking is off the street, only one bathroom, oh, and I’m awesome.

Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll email you more information and pictures.
